Efficiently loot a village for maximum resources in minimum time. Villages provide beds, food, iron tools, and sometimes obsidian, making them one of the best early-game resource sources.
How It Works
Villages generate with specific building types, each containing useful loot. The most valuable buildings for speedrunners are weaponsmiths and toolsmiths (iron tools, diamonds), fletchers (sticks, feathers), and butchers (food). Hay bales found in farms provide wheat for bread.
An efficient village route hits the highest-value buildings first. Check the blacksmith/weaponsmith chest immediately, grab hay bales while passing farms, take beds from houses, and skip low-value buildings entirely.
The goal is to exit the village within 30 to 60 seconds with enough resources to enter the Nether: food, beds, and ideally iron tools or obsidian from chests.
Step-by-Step Execution
Locate a village near spawn. Plains and savanna villages are most common.
Sprint to the weaponsmith or toolsmith building first (look for the grindstone or blast furnace).
Loot the chest for iron ingots, iron tools, diamonds, or obsidian.
Grab hay bales from farms while running between buildings (break them for 9 wheat each, craft 3 bread).
Enter houses and take beds (you need 7 or more for the dragon fight).
Check any other chests (cartographer, butcher) for additional useful items.
Exit the village with food, beds, and tools. Head toward a lava pool for portal construction.

Common Mistakes
- -Spending too long in the village looting every building instead of taking essentials and leaving
